Do I need to write a 317 reflection even though I am not enrolled in the course this semester?
Yes. All current IVSP students are required to complete a semesterly evaluation even though you will only register for IVSP317 during your final semester. Read more about 217 requirements here.

The course registration portal says I have a department block. What do I need to do to remove it?
If you have a demartment block, contact the IVSP office (individualstudies@umd.edu) to clarify why the block exists and how it can be removed.

Why am I unable to sign up for my IVSP317?
If you are unable to register for IVSP317, check to make sure your registration status is set to Satisfactory/Fail.

Why am I unable to sign up for my IVSP420?
If you are unable to sign up for IVSP420, it is because you have not been cleared for the course yet. In order to be cleared, please submit your capstone proposal with you Faculty Mentor signature to the IVSP office.

When do I apply for graduation?
All students must apply for graduation no later than the Schedule Adjustment period at the beginning of your final semester. Please note that your diploma application will only say that your major is "Individual Studies". Your created title will get added officially to your documents after graduation.
