Writing the Proposal

Your written proposal is the central component of the IVSP application process. Your proposal will encompass information about why you are pursuing IVSP, how you are constructing your major, what learning goals and objectives you have, and how your major will support you in your future endeavors. It is important to note that:

  • Writing a successful IVSP proposal takes students on average one (1) semester
  • The process is incremental and iterative. After coming in to the office for an initial meeting, begin First start with your Major Definition and Course List. From there, continue to work with IVSP staff to build the other sections. You will need to read, review, and edit your proposal multiple times in order to make sure it meets all requirements. a

    5. Capstone
    6. Coursework by Concentration
    7. General Education Coursework
    8. Coursework by Semester
